“Nagmalitong Yawa” on the main stage of the Philippine Book Festival 2025

On March 16, 2025, author Kat Gomez-Limchoc, book designer and illustrator, Karen Francisco and publisher, Gayle Certeza, took center stage at the Philippine Book Festival at the Mega Trade Hall.
Invited by the National Book Development Board (NBDB), the team who created, "Nagmalitong Yawa, a modern retelling of an ancient story of a fierce Filipina heroine”, spoke about the journey of the book, its design approach, and its themes of female empowerment from an epic hundreds of years old.
After speaking on the main stage, there was book selling and book signing, with the team delighting in telling book lovers and fellow book creators more about this amazing tale passed down by our ancestors.
The Philippine Book Festival (PBF) is the largest traveling book festival in the country that highlights Filipino books. Melding education, entertainment, and shopping, the festival celebrates the best of Philippine literature, culture, and content.
